Take your first steps to get your PADI Open Water Certification!

Learn the confined pool based activities at our centre in Basingstoke and online theory before you head abroad to complete the course

The PADI Open Water course consists of the following:

1, CONFINED WATER TRAINING (included with this course)

This would take place at Bulls Bushes Farm, Oakley, Basingstoke, RG23 7EB

Here we will teach all the PADI Scuba diving skills in a shallow safe pool environment with a qualified PADI Instructor.

The confined course usually takes 1 day when we have a small group.

You will need to bring swim things and a pack lunch for the day.

2, E-LEARNING THEORY - at home (included with this course)

We will register the course participation with PADI and an E-learning link will be emailed to you.

The E-learning is a series of 5 modules that you can complete in your own time. Once complete you will participate in a quiz and upon successful completion you will have the necessary knowledge to dive safely.

On completion of the pool training and the e-learning you will be issued with a referral form which allows you to take part in the 4 open water dives at any PADI dive resort in the world within 1 year of the pool training.

3. OPEN WATER DIVES (NOT included with this course)

To be fully qualified as a PADI Open Water Diver you must complete 4 dives in open water to a maximum depth of 12 meters. On these dives the skills learnt in the pool will be practised.

Once the 4 dives have been completed you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver which will enable you to dive anywhere in the world.

The certification is valid for life the only recommendation being that you refresh your skills after a long period of not diving.
